Wide Open Beach Sunset Proposal
Two years ago, Hannah asked Alex to prom. They fell in love, and now it is Alex’s turn to do the asking. They planned a trip to Maui, and he knew it was the right time to ask her to marry him. One thing he knew is that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend on a beach, after dinner, and at sunset. He wanted a casual-type proposal with some photos. No problem. A wide open beach sunset proposal is one of our specialties.
THE PLAN:
First, Alex was taking Hannah to a beautiful, romantic dinner at the Five Palms Restaurant. After dinner, Alex suggested to Hannah that they take a stroll down the beach and watch the sunset. When it was nearly sunset, they came down the beach holding hands, and our photographer easily spotted them through the trees.
THE PROPOSAL:
Before they finished dinner, our photographer, Amber, hid in the bushes and waited for their big moment to happen. When the time was right, Alex dropped to one knee and asked Hannah to marry him! Hannah had the best look on her face when he asked. One thing I was so happy we captured was Hannah looking away at the ocean as Alex took the ring out of his pocket.
THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION
As soon as Alex pointed out our photographer, they got started on their sweetheart session. This is one of our new favorite locations in South Maui for wide open beach shots since it has a great mix of sand and some greenery. Alex chose our sunset package, so we were able to get some great colors in the sky, too.
