Gorgeous South Maui Proposal
Ever since their first kiss on a pier overlooking the water in Ventura, California, Bradley knew he wanted to propose near the water, too. Together, we decided on a gorgeous South Maui proposal at the beach. It was sheer perfection!
THE PLAN:
In our first communications, Bradley asked specifically for a wide open beach. Of course, we had the perfect South Maui beach selected for this proposal. Bradley was actually our first proposal we have had at this beach. Which, of course, we love!
THE PROPOSAL:
Bradley led Frazell out to the beach. When they got to just the right spot, Bradley dropped down to one knee and asked Frazell the question she’s been waiting to hear! She said, “YES!” and they shared a sweet hug. One of my favorite shots of the session is right after their engagement when Bradley looks directly into the camera and smiles. He’s about to tell her he’s hired photographers to capture their proposal! It’s such a sly look he gives us.
After he proposed, out from the bushes came a ukulele player, Deason Baybayan. He played their song, “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran. Bradley and Frazell shared their first dance as fiances on the beach as Deason jammed on the ukulele. It was pure romance.
THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION:
While the ukulele player was playing their song, Frazell looked over and saw our photographer. She laughed as she came to the realization that we were there for her, and we got some great shots of them enjoying the dance. After that, we went to some awesome South Maui locations. Our last stop was our favorite beach which has a great mix of lava rock and a beautiful view of the sunset.
