Maui Proposal on Wailea Beach in Maui, Hawaii
This Maui proposal on Wailea Beach in Maui, Hawaii required a bit more creepy stalking than I usually do (haha)–but in the end Ashley was super surprised and we had a killer engagement session on the Wailea Beach walk and surrounding areas!
THE PLAN:
Alex and Ashley were staying at the Andaz (one of my favorite Maui hotels) just a bit down the way from Wailea Beach. The plan was that they were going to walk from the Andaz to Wailea Beach, where Alex would get down on one knee and ask Ashley to marry him. But this meant that I would need to find a way to follow him to the beach because Wailea Beach can be quite busy! I ended up following him for almost a half mile, taking sneaky ninja photos as they walked in front of me. While I was following them, I got nervous that I may be spotted, so I befriended some beach-goers who happily accompanied me on to the beach before Alex proposed!
THE PROPOSAL:
When Alex felt the moment was right, he dropped to one knee and asked Ashley to marry him! She was completely surprised and the surrounding beach-goers erupted into cheer after she said yes!
THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION:
Because Alex and Ashley had booked a romantic dinner at Ferraro’s at the Four Seasons, we wanted to stay close to the restaurant. We found some really great lava rock out-croppings along with some stellar views of West Maui and the sunset!
