Remote Helicopter Proposal in Maui, Hawaii
After spending an astonishing 100 days on the road touring the US, Lane knew for 1000% sure that Sophie was the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. A privately chartered remote helicopter proposal in Maui was just the ticket!
THE PLAN:
A few weeks before the proposal, I spoke with Lane over the phone and we chatted about the options. Once I began to tell him how amazing the helicopter proposal is with Air Maui, he was hooked. A week before the proposal, Lane sent me a box with a very special book he created just for Sophie. I was to wrap it and leave it in my bag, which would be in the helicopter, so Lane could snag it when Sophie wasn’t looking.
THE PROPOSAL:
There are two wonderful places to propose with this location: with the ocean in the background and with the mountains. Lane chose the mountains and I think it was totally the right choice! The mountains were SO green because of the recent rain we’ve had and the clouds in the mountains just added to the beauty! Lane led Sophie out to the field, gave her the book and I cautiously started snapping away. On the first page of the book it read “Sophie – the only thing I’ve ever wanted to change about you is your last name…” And that’s when Lane got down on one knee! She said yes!
THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION:
Because we had a private charter through Air Maui, we were able to stick around the location a bit longer than usual! We were even treated to a beautiful rainbow during our session! Since it was also Sophie’s birthday, we celebrated with a wine toast!
